Do you take insurance?

We are not currently credentialed with insurance companies, therefore, we are unable to bill your insurance directly. You may contact your insurance company and ask the following questions:

1). Does my plan include reimbursement for individual therapy services from out-of-network providers? If so, what is the rate?

2). What is the process of getting reimbursed?

Note: Melissa is able to provide "superbills" which are reimbursement statements to provide to your insurance company upon your request. Amanda is unable to currently create these statements. Regardless, you are responsible for payment in full at the end of your session with your therapist. With insurance reimbursement, a mental health diagnosis is necessary.

What is EMDR therapy?

Under the "How We Can Help" Section there is a link to learn more about EMDR therapy. It is recommended that you do research using credible sources such as emdria.org to learn more.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least a 24 hour notice for cancellations or to reschedule. Lack of cancelling or rescheduling within the 24 hour time frame will result in a charge of your session rate. We understand that emergencies and life happens so talk with your therapist directly if there is a hardship.

What is your sick policy?

Please do not come to the office if you have been or are feeling sick. The wellness of everyone is a priority.

What is the difference between talking to friends/family and therapy?

Therapists have a higher education and extensive ongoing training in mental health, to include but not limited to assessment, diagnosis, and evidenced-based treatment modalities. Trained therapists/clinicians adhere to the law and ethics of the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California.

Why do I have to be in California to receive services?

We provide services legally under the regulations of the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California, which requires us to provide services only to clients who are physically located in California.
